A.J. McMarson It took me over fifteen years to get 'the idea' into a congruent enough form, so that I could then turn it into a palatable story. I'd have to say then, the idea(s) flew at me from where ever life happens.
A.J. McMarson The Star Ways is a synergetic process for me. Writing it moves me on to be better than I was a moment before. Like finding out if 'synergetic' is really a word. It's not just a 'word' its a way of living!

A.J. McMarson I don't think I have ever had writer's block. Having the story planned has probably helped eliminate any potential blockages or writer's cramp. Ensuring that all the plots and subplots are neatly arranged before unleashing the characters, keeps a structure tight so that you don't get half way through a chapter and think, 'oh, hang on, that character can't do that because...'
