A writer worked for days and weeks and months to write a book. But no reader ever saw it in order to buy it. Horror? Or tragedy? LOL.

As a full time working/writing author, I can't wait for inspiration. I write. Every day. But I also have to refill the well, and I do that by just living life. Still, what truly inspires me is interacting with readers and hearing what they love about stories. Honestly, they are true heroes that inspire me and encourage me to keep writing.

I am working on another series set in Storybrook. It will follow The Wedding Letter series, expanding the town of Storybrook. It should be out next spring.

Write, write, and write more. Every day. All day. And keep at it even when it's hard, even when words don't want to come, even when no one seems to want those words... the world needs them. So write.

Playing all day in my pjs with my imaginary friends. Except they aren't imaginary, like when I was a kid. They're real. Aren't they?

I love to laugh and am drawn to stories that make me laugh. Even something sad, I have to find humor or something positive. So I lost three friends way too soon. They were phenomenal moms. I started thinking about what if... and what would I want to leave behind. Of course, I'd write a letter or a thousand letters to my kids. Which led to what if a letter written by a mom changed the course of one's life... ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! And so, The Wedding Run was born.... actually three sisters... and a whole lotta 'I do's.'

I take long walks and longer drives. I try to refill the well by reading, going to museums, hanging out with friends. When my dad passed away, I really struggled. But I was under deadline. So not writing was not an option. I figured out I could write about my crazy puppy who was about 6 months old. So I wrote Hilo into my manuscript, writing about her crazy antics. It got me writing. So if you're struggling to write, find something you can write about... start there.

Oh, right now, I'd go to my own creation of Storybrook. It's set just north of Atlanta. I'd have a coffee at The Brew and buy a couple of books at the Well-Read book shop. And then there's always pie at the Once Upon a Pie diner. Wanna come with me?

I'm not sure about a mystery... but I've been having several romcom events in my life. Here's one and it may have to be in a book some time. When my daughter recently married, her intended was trying to get to Penn Station so we could all get to the wedding together. The subway shut down. He was sprinting through Penn Station in his suit with the wedding bouquet. If he missed the train, he'd miss the wedding. And with one minute to spare, he caught the train!
