Eric Douglas I write something every day. It's not always my latest project. Sometimes it's a blog post or a newspaper/magazine column, but I write. Writing is habit as much as anything else. If I have trouble working on the next novel or next big project, I still write.
Eric Douglas Tell the best story you can, the one that interests you. Don't try to write what you think the market wants to read. You'll just sell yourself short and miss the boat by the time your story is finished.
Eric Douglas Set it aside and move on to a different project for a while. I keep writing, but just on something else.

Eric Douglas I'm working on the sixth Mike Scott adventure novel in the series. Mike is headed back to Grand Cayman!
Eric Douglas The idea for my latest story, Life Under the Sea (available as a stand alone short and as part of the Tales from Withrow Key collection) came from Fabien Cousteau's recent 31 day stay in an underwater habitat.
