“Carnage reached out his hand, his claws forever there, unable to retract, for Destroy to shake. Destroy nodded, reached out his own hand, and they shook hands for the first time in many, many years. Destroy said, “Truce?” Carnage nodded, “‘Es” Destroy said, “We’ll protect our families. Each other. What’s past is past.” Carnage nodded once, sharply, “‘Es.” Then he slammed his arm across his own chest, his hand fisted, giving a vow — to protect Destroy and watch his back.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“I write for me, just for the joy of it. But If someone else smiles as a result, even better.”
Sandra R. Neeley, I'm Not a Dragon's Mate!
“Destroy shocked him when he dropped all pretense, looking him straight in the eye, he said, “I’m lonely.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“He wasted no time, alternately lapping at her nipples and suckling them. When she purred and gave him more moans, he experimented and lightly grazed her breasts with his teeth. Her hips bucked up off the bed in response. He smiled to himself, being sure to discover all the things his mate loved best. He was a very big male, and when he opened his mouth fully, he found he could fit almost her entire breast in his mouth, tonguing it when he did. She held him tighter to her and whispered, “Yes! More, please!”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Did you play with Uncle Lore today?” Carolena asked. Lily nodded, “Unh-huh,” she said, as she took a bite of cheese. “What did you play?” she asked. “Dwess up,” Lily answered. Carolena started smiling, thinking she knew the answer to her next question, “Did he help you dress up Uncle Destroy?” “Yes!” Lily answered. “UncLore” she said, using the words Uncle and Lore as though they were one combined”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Carnage. Carnage stole a human female and brought her here. Against your rules. And now she’s sleeping in his bed,” he finished as he smiled sardonically. “Fuck!” Enthrall mumbled as he dragged a hand down his face. He hated confronting Carnage. Carnage was dangerous. He was unpredictable and volatile. But he was also a very good male. H”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Carnage smiled at Destroy, sadly. Then he patted his chest and said, “‘Arnge wrooong.” Destroy’s heart pounded. “About what?” “‘Stroy saave ‘Arnge.” Then he raised his eyebrows as though to say, “didn’t you?” Destroy clenched his jaw, his eyes misted, but there was no way in hell he’d allow himself to cry in front of the male he admired most in life. He nodded his head sharply one single time. Carnage reached out, grabbed Destroy and jerked him into his arms, patting him roughly on the back.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Of course I am pretty,” he answered. “It is why everyone loves me so,” he answered the child. He really didn’t mind her decorating his horns, head and face. No one else, as of yet, would allow her to do the same to them, so it gave him a connection to her that no other had.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“He almost choked on his own saliva, trying to maintain control, trying to stifle the moan beginning to build in his chest. He’d had no idea his wings would be so sensitive to the touch of his mate. His muscles were straining, his wings shivering, his chest heaving. Rowan noticed and reluctantly took her hands from his wings. He flat out whined at the loss of her touch. She misread his responses as being in distress at her touch, when in actuality, he was struggling to contain himself. He wanted her to never stop. He wanted her to allow him to hold her, and kiss her, and even wrap her in his wings as he held her. She was his deepest wish come true.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Destroy smiled at her in a sinister way, “You are wise to fear us, human, but I will not hurt you — much. Only if you like it…” he grinned, showing all his teeth, fangs almost as large as Carnage’s.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“He wanted to earn not only her trust, but her respect. And his mother had taught him well; one must give respect to earn respect.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Ascend
“Rowan lifted the ribbons toward him, her palm open, displaying them for him to see clearly. “These were tied about your horns!” Destroy smiled, “Yes, Lily likes to play dress up.” Rowan looked at him, really saw his face. He was a beautiful male, fine chiseled features, beautiful, warm, deep amber eyes with long, feathery lashes. But he wasn’t human. Neither are you, her conscience answered. She ignored her inner voice and concentrated even more on Destroy, “You’d powdered your face, and you had lipstick on, too.” “Lily,” was all Destroy said, smiling.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Because, legend says that the tree is a Dragon, frozen in time by the ancients for loving a human and refusing to give her up. The only way the curse can be broken is if his mate remembers him and finds him. Then he’ll wake up and claim her all over again,” Destroy explained, not quite as put out as he was before.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Carnage seemed to melt into her hands, his cheek rubbing softly against one of her hands where they cupped his jaw. She watched patiently, waiting while he struggled for words, “No. Huuurrtt,” he said. “Saaaafffe.” He smiled at her gently.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“She reached up and grabbed his head in her hands, bringing it down closer to her. She locked eyes with him, “Mine!” she shouted at him. His eyes got huge as he watched her, but she wasn’t finished. Now that his horns were within reach, she wrapped her hand around one of them so that he couldn’t stand upright without pulling her off her feet. Then she threw her head back and screamed, “MINE!!!”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“I stood there. She continued to caress me, then she said, ‘What I would do to you if you were real!’ and she stepped closer, standing on her toes again to get a better look at my face. She never once let go of my manhood, stroking me the whole time, then she said, ‘It’s almost as though I can see you breathing!’ Finally, I could take it no longer. I stopped holding my breath, I looked down at her, and I said, ‘Of course you can see me breathing! And if you don’t stop stroking me, you’ll see more than me breathing! So, now, Here I am, real! What shall you do to me, little female?’” Destroy was smiling as he relayed his story.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Yes, really,” Enthrall answered as he approached her. She took a step back, and he responded, “Come now, I’ve already promised not to harm you this day. I must touch you to take you back home.” He placed his arm about her waist, and before she could pull away, he said, “Hold tight. We’ll be there in a moment.” “What are you?” she asked on a whisper as he tightened his grip on her waist. He smiled charmingly down at her and said as though it was no big deal, “Vampire.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“What matters is heart, character. Knowing who you are, and making sure you’re the best you can be is what it’s all about. When you do that, you’ll be happy, no matter where you are.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Ascend
“Destroy, realizing he’d just stormed right into Enthrall’s home, stuttered his progress a bit, “Yeah, well, sorry. I was excited to see your response and meet the female.” Then, not being a stupid Gargoyle, he walked back over to the front door, rapped his knuckles against it, and smiled sheepishly at Enthrall.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Enthrall reached his hand out to her, “Come. Let us go watch for his return. Watching him fly, as with all the other Goyles, is a thing of beauty… very graceful.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Enthrall watched, spellbound. This was what he wanted. He wanted a woman, no matter her species, that made him feel that it was alright to be who he was. He was a monster in the eyes of most. He’d once been human, but that had been so long ago that even he sometimes forgot his origins.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Yes, he is very pretty. I especially like the purple ribbons on his horns, but the red, yellow and blue ones are pretty, too. And you did an especially nice job with the red lipstick on his lips this time — you only got a touch on his fangs. Great job, baby.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“Carolena looked away from Enthrall to the windows once more, then, she said softly, “He’s beautiful. He’s got the most expressive eyes and lips that look as though he is always pouting. And he has magnificent horns. They are shiny, and twisty, and dark and, and…beautiful”
Sandra R. Neeley, Carnage
“Carnage, in the meantime, was busy opening and closing every cabinet in Enthrall’s kitchen. “What are you looking for?” Destroy asked irritatedly. Carnage mimed something breaking over the skillet he cooked in, that made no sense to Destroy. “Huh?” Destroy asked. Frustrated, Carnage tucked his hands under his arm pits and squawked, which sent Lily into peals of laughter, which made Carnage do it even louder and more animatedly walking around in a circle as he did so, grinning at his daughter while she laughed harder. “Eggs?” Destroy asked.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Destroy
“you must remember though she knew she was Ba Re’s Ehlealah, she did not make an effort to finalize their bond, and in fact left our ship to pursue her own career under Bart’s guidance.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Reclaimed
“Turning his back on the forests of Clan Cumhdach, he silently entered the priory through the back door and went straight to the upstairs window where he lit a lantern that would remain lit until Maddie found her way back. Hopefully, it would guide her to where she needed to be, when she needed to be there.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Sheltered by the Orc
“It will be okay. Just follow your heart, it will not lead you astray.” “I’m afraid it already has,” she admitted with a sarcastic laugh. “It has not. Do not fault yourself for having a gentle, trusting heart. It is also strong. If you need to start over, it will be your best guide,”
Sandra R. Neeley, Reclaimed
“And though he’d not at first believed her to be his anam cara, after touching her, lying next to her, it was clear to him that she was indeed his.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Sheltered by the Orc
“It’s an injury, it can be healed. And it is not ugly. It will be a scar. Scars speak to your resilience. They speak of your strength.”
Sandra R. Neeley, Redemption
“Listen to each other, not just the words, but the meaning behind them, and you’ll be just fine,”
Sandra R. Neeley, Aubreigne
