“My routine in the morning is always the same. Get up, get washed, get dressed and take my tablet. I never used to like routine in my life before the head injury; in fact, I think it’s fair to say that I avoided routine at all costs. Now though, I can’t function without it. I think it’s something to do with the way that my brain is rewired now, it isn’t very good at making on the spot decisions but it runs sufficiently well on autopilot. It does lately anyway.”
