“For me, being comfortable and unafraid to live in your own authenticity is radical. Revolutionary people don’t have to try so hard to be who they say they are. They exude it and live it effortlessly in their natural state.”

“Anything that strayed from the status quo was considered wild. And, she gave no apology. Leading the pack was her calm course of existence...
and her freedom.”

“While focus has been on child exploitation and sexual abuse at a global, I cannot stop expressing the importance of having conversations within our very own families.

Conversations of actions.
Conversations of awareness.
Conversations of safety.
Conversations of protection.
Conversations of transparency.
Conversations of accountability.
Conversations of consequences.
Conversations of support.

Kids grow into adults and are often left to tackIe the effects of trauma on their own. When someone comes out, stop asking them why they waited. Or, call them a liar. Or, say they are crazy. Or, treat them like they are the abuser. Or, keep them ostracized as the outcast. These familial defense mechanisms only continue to add to the trauma and abuse.

We need to create a culture within our families where our children - and children turned adults - don't feel so voiceless and unprotected when confiding in their truth.

It's never too late to have these difficult conversations. Please have them.”

“What good are those wings if you can't use them to fly?”

“It is shown all throughout history how black women are constantly out here on the front lines, yet we are treated as disposable.

We are at the planning tables.
We are creating real solutions.
We are confronting the police.
We are challenging the status quo.

We have your backs during protest and outside of protest.

But, if y'all don't have us...
then who does?”

“I’ve been dragged through hell. My fight brings me back to life. And, my purpose puts me in alignment with heaven...
wherever that may be.”

“Life owes us nothing just because we are granted it. But, we do owe our own lives everything. Our life is a gift. When you see that for yourself, you see that the lives of others is also a gift.

There's no such thing as "gone too soon" or "before their time." Our end date is not guaranteed. We are given just one life. And, that life- no matter how young or how old it is when it leaves us in the physical form - is put here for us to learn, grow and love in some capacity.

Your legacy doesn't have to wait until you're dead and gone to be seen.

Live it with each breath you take.
Live it through your actions toward others.
Live it with the time you have now.

I want to see my life's impact during my time here on earth. Posthumous appreciation is overrated.”
Jamie A. Triplin
“You found what makes you special. Don't let anyone take that away from you best friend!”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake
“I am the rainbow. Don't you see how my tail is a collection of all the colors from the sea, land, and sky?”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake
“I just don't like when everyone stares at me. You would think they would stop thinking I'm so weird by now.”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake
“All too often we as a Black community allow systemic entities to do character reporting and judgment casting on protests, uprisings, our slain, and family/friends of our slain. This is all an attempt to distract the public from the injustices that got us there in the first place.”
Jamie A. Triplin
“Maybe it will just be easier for me and everyone else if I just called myself a Mermaid." Malia felt out of place in a world full of mermaids.”
Jamie A. Triplin, Malia the Merfairy and The Lucky Rainbow Cake
“Are you mermaid or are you fairy? Priam said urging Malia to answer.

"That's easy! I'm a Fairy just like my dad. He is awesome! My wings are translucent just like his. " Malia said proudly as she opened her wings.

Priam busted out in laughter.

"Why are you laughing Priam?!" Malia was extremely upset.

"Malia, you are not a fairy," he said after catching his breath. "Do you see your huge tail? It's like mine and all the rest of us in Lucky.”
