“Witch! “Witch!” he yelled. I ran from the man with the torch like there was no tomorrow. He managed to trip my leg. I fell down into the dirt. I looked up at my attacker. He was possessed with rage. I grabbed a heavy branch next to me and swung it at his head. He didn’t flinch. Sweating and losing my breath, I looked around for help, but there was no one. He brought the torch down towards my face. I extinguished the flames by pointing at it. He stood there, powerless and shocked. Good thing I am a witch.”

“Beware Social anxiety. It’s real. I’m a knowledgeable, educated, and talented individual. But you wouldn’t know it if you talked to me. I’ll stutter. I’ll choke on my spit. I’ll sound like an idiot, and you’ll treat me as such. Before I respond to any question you ask, I will dwell on just how much and how long you will chastise me. One day, I will sweat and stumble too much. You will notice and judge. You will push me to the edge of my already unstable sanity. At that point, I will not hold myself responsible for what happens.”

“Countdown Ten. The explosion was imminent. Nine. I cut the red wire. Eight. The bomb is still counting. Seven. It must have a fail-safe. I cut the green wire. Six. I’m stumped. Why is it still going? Five. I cave. This is it: the final five seconds of my life. Four. Visions and memories of my family flash before my eyes within one second. Three. I zone back to reality for the final three seconds. I decide to cut the blue wire. Two. What could it hurt? I’m going to die anyway. One. Or am I? I cut it. Zero.”

“Clown Skills I finish twisting the balloons and give it to the birthday boy. “This doesn’t look like a tiger, stupid clown!” “Where did your mom hire this doofus anyway?” “What kind of loser works as a clown?” Even though these brats are twenty years younger, their words are hurtful. After years of constant mistreatment, I finally had enough. I grab the birthday boy and forcefully twist and knot his arms and legs, breaking all limbs in the process. He screams. The others, shocked. His mom comes running. With a true (unpainted) smile, I offer her son saying, “Look, a pretzel!”

“Home Invasion The man entered our apartment and took my roommate’s life. I ran and hid in the attic. I peered through a random hole in the ceiling to observe the menace prowling through the living room looking for me. He wore a clown mask and held a blood stained bat. I looked around the attic to see if I could find something useful. Nothing but empty boxes. After a moment, I noticed that I couldn’t hear or see the man anymore. He must’ve left. I breathed a sigh of relief. It was the last time I ever took a breath.”

“Welcome!” the speaker announced as people continued to file into the room. “Come on in, everybody. Welcome to Black Magic Training 101.” My eyes lit up. I raised my hand. “Yes, sir. What’s your question?” “Um,” I said. “I’m in the wrong class. Do you know where McClellan Clown Training’s classroom is held?” “Down the hall. Have you enrolled with them yet?” “No. I was going to sign up when I got there.” “Excellent. Ladies and gentlemen… future witches and warlocks… we’re going to start with a more advanced topic this evening: How to perform a proper human sacrifice.”
