I just need to know if there is room for disappointment and you are still willing to walk across the bridge with me without trying to jump or push me in to the water down below. I don’t really care that there is a time difference when we speak on the phone, or that the economy is bad and we’re both practically broke. I just need to know that the weight of the world will not hold you down and you will not wait for permission to follow your dreams. I don’t really care to know how many others you have been with or how many times you have fallen in love. I just need to know that you will hold my hand as we are both being stoned for our sins without regret. I don’t really care to know what you may have heard, read, or fancied about me.
