Jane began writing when she was about seven, and has had numerous short stories in magazines and anthologies. Her first novel,' A Proper Family Christmas', is currently published by Headline Accent, and her second, 'A Real Family Easter' is now out with OxPens.

In a change of direction she is also writing a biography of her grandmother, Florence Garner Gordon-Cumming, the young American heiress who married Sir William of the notorious 1891 Baccarat Scandal, and stood by him in his disgrace. Her proposal won the Biographers' Club's Tony Lothian Prize for first time uncommissioned biographers.

After living in Oxford for thirty odd years, Jane and her husband moved to Stroud in Gloucestershire, close to her sister, the writer Katie Fforde. ...more
