Alex Klaushofer was born in north London, grew up in Gloucestershire and has traveled extensively in the Middle East. A lover of place, she writes about travel of both the body and mind.

The Secret Life of God, a kind of spiritual investigation into how people in 21st-century Britain are finding new ways of believing and belonging, is out now.

A series of short ebooks featuring standalone excerpts from the book and focusing on neopaganism, Sufism, monasticism and the solitary life, is also available.
