I started writing when I was five. I won a playground storytelling contest when I was 8. More recently I got two nominations for the Bram Stoker Award by the Horror Writers Association: In 2001, my novella "God Screamed and Screamed, Then I Ate Him" was the first. In 2002, I adapted, produced and directed an audio version of Gene Wolfe's "The Tree Is My Hat." The show had Neil Gaiman in the cast and the script for "Tree..." was my second Stoker nod. Fun, but not as much as the playground contest. As story supervisor and associate producer of the TV series, "Hyde & Seeke," I wrote, directed and supervised production throughout the half-hour series' first season. That was fun! In 2003 "Catching," was Stoker 'Recommended' - means I didn't get ...more

message 1: by Lawrence (last edited Jun 05, 2011 08:43AM)

Lawrence I want to let everyone know that an e-edition, expanded from the inked paper version, of my novel JUST NORTH OF NOWHERE is now available from Smashwords for $4.99. Later this week, the book will go up on Kindle and Nook. iBook should have it within a week or so.

This edition restores material that was reluctantly cut prior to publication in 2007. The edits were to reduce the size of the book and keep it from becoming too expensive. These restoration completes a story arc begun with two separate chapters and adds several new characters -- a hired killer from the Cities -- and a deep woods-dweller, Fatty Burgos, who has a relative to bury.

If you've read the book, you'll want to return to Bluffton to get the rest of the story. Here's the link: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

If you like it, I hope you'll consider giving it a review.

Thanks.
