I was born in the south of England, and grew up in the Midlands. At university I studied philosophy, which inevitably led to me writing humorous stories about wizards. After that I worked in an office for 30 years, mainly as a way of keeping out of the rain. I now live in the south of England with my wife and our dog, and spend a surprising amount of my time making soup.

I write to cheer myself up, and I publish in the hope that what I write will cheer a few other people up as well. I've been writing the fifth novel in my Camelot Wizards series, and I'm hoping it won't be too long before it's published.
