Entre sus compañeros de colegio, Jim Pluk nunca se destacó por ser un buen deportista ni muy extrovertido. A diferencia de ellos, Jim siempre estaba dibujando en un rincón. Dibujaba a sus compañeros, a su profesora y a sus mundos paralelos. Así mantuvo la pasión por el dibujo, el collage, el cómic y la pintura. Actualmente ha publicado 4 libros: «Pecas» (editorial Robot), «Rayito» (editorial Universidad de Caldas), «Josefina» (autopublicado) y «Canosa» (editorial Gato Negro). Actualmente escriba e ilustra varios cuentos ilustrados y novelas gráficas, y espera seguir dibujando hasta el fin.
