Dr. Jacob Adler is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Arkansas. His research interests include social, political, and modern ethics. He is especially interested in the historical context of Spinoza’s writings as a resource for gaining a deeper understanding of his doctrines. Professor Adler is also interested in social and political philosophy and philosophy of law. In addition to his philosophical teaching, he teaches occasional courses in Jewish studies as part of the Religious Studies program.
Dr. Adler earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Harvard University in 1985.
