Most of Zobarskas's work is for young people and children. He was one of the most popular writers for children and youth in Lithuania between the wars, later transitioning to prose. He has published collections of short stories and fairy tales for children.

From 1936 to 1939, Zobarskas studied French Language and Literature at the Paris School of Social Sciences, and continued his studies at the Universities of Heidelberg and later New York near the end of World War II.

He wrote psychological short stories for adults. Together with his colleagues, he prepared a popular textbook for primary schools titled "Aušrelė." His prose has been translated into German, French, and English.
