“The whole goddamn American people wants its bone structure decalcified, they want to be a heap of jelly.”
Gil Orlovitz, Milkbottle H

“he starts to babble, to chatter, nothing you can make sense of, yes, even that we could forgive him if his babble makes sense, but it doesnt, its all crazy mixedup syllables, without symbols, yet, because even that we could forgive him if he speaks like highly symbolic poetry, or automatic writing, but no, not even that, its got to be absolutely meaningless, and were listening, the whole family, mama, my brothers, my sister, me, listening, he should make at least one word of sense and well forgive him”
Gil Orlovitz, Milkbottle H

“A cripple desires international responsibility? Give it to him, let him have it, because: why should a man in full health ask for responsibilities which keep multiplying, which have no end? Give it to someone who is sick, and we will indulge in the spurious grief of standing in multitudes to watch the dead body roll by to its last resting place.”
Gil Orlovitz, Milkbottle H
