Dr. Lipton is a neurologist and writer with a passion for helping people with brain illness and their families. She graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and received her M.D. and Ph.D. in Physiology from Northwestern University School of Medicine. Since completing her neurology residency and fellowship, Dr. Lipton's career path has encompassed clinical care, research, and teaching, as well as writing and speaking to raise public awareness and understanding of neurological diseases and their treatment. In addition to publications in major scientific journals, Dr. Lipton has co-edited three medical texts on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, two of which have also been translated into Spanish.
