Although I didn’t always write them down, I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating stories in some way. My mom tells me that when I was little I would go to her and ask her to write stories down for me, and I often ‘narrated’ everyday life. I feel that I don’t write just because it’s something that I want to do, but because it’s something that I need to do. If I don’t have something to work on creatively then I’m miserable.

I’ve been homeschooled for my entire life; in fact I’ve only been inside a public school about ten times. I am very grateful that homeschooling has given me the opportunity to pursue a career as a writer so early in life.
