RNDr. Emil Páleš, CSc. is a representative of sophiology, which strives for the synthesis of various sources of knowledge (revelations, reason and sensory experience).

He studied cybernetics and taught computer linguistics at the Department of Artificial Intelligence of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Comenius University in Bratislava. In the years 1989-1994, he led the research project "Computer model of Slovak language" at the Ľudovít Štúr Institute of Linguistics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Since 1994, he founded and leads the non-profit organization Sophia, which is dedicated to integral studies.
