Kathryn Alesandrini retired early as a tenured college professor to pursue a full-time career in real estate. After the market crashed in 2008, she witnessed many homeowners falling victim to foreclosure and others who managed to stay afloat including her own family who implemented many of the strategies in this book.

Kathryn A. is no stranger to analysis and critique. Her work Braving the New eWorld was a popular online college text and course, and her previous book Survive Information Overload garnered numerous national awards and accolades.

Dr. Alesandrini holds a Ph.D. from UCLA and earlier degrees from the University of Illinois.
