Samen met Peter de Wit (tekenaar van de strip Sigmund) vormt Hanco Kolk al sinds 1984 een creatief duo.
Voor de Nederlandse televisie maakten en presenteerden ze de Teleac-cursus Striptekenen. Ook als het duo Mannetje en Mannetje haalden ze sketch-gewijs de Nederlandse televisieschermen. Verder hebben ze samen een uitgeverij opgericht, de Plaatjesmaker, en maakten ze de strip Gilles de Geus. Daarnaast maken Kolk en De Wit samen de strip S1ngle, die in meer dan vijftien dagbladen te lezen is en die als spin-off drie seizoenen als tv-serie te zien was.

Hanco Kolk ontwierp het bewegende trommelaartje voor de website van De Harmonie.
In 2007 verscheen het magnum opus van Kolk, Meccano - de Ruwe Gids, dat als een van de klassiekers van de Nederlan ...more
