Pablo De Leon (Born Pablo Contreras) was born in Ciudad, Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The eldest of 6 children born to Ines Maria Contreras and Pablo Yepes Contreras, the family relocated to Fairfield, TX when Pablo was just 4 years old. He grew up with an early interest in sports and showed a natural gift for baseball. Though he was ineligible to play ball his senior year he still managed to get a scholarship after a stellar tryout at Calhoun State in Alabama. After playing college ball in Alabama and Texas he made it onto the roster of the Harlingen White Wings AA Team. During his rookie year the team won the championship series of the Texas/Louisiana league.
