Dr. Gail King is a leader in gynecological surgery, with a precedent-setting practice, the Aspen Center for Women’s Health, in Aspen, Colorado.
She has always loved medicine and built her career with a clear goal in sight. As a five-year-old child, Dr. King used to “help” her father in his veterinary office. While he did surgery on cats and dogs, she stood on a stool and cut stitches. Way back then she decided: she wanted to be a doctor and do surgery, but to do it on people, not animals. Since that time, Dr. King found that her fascination with medicine never waned and the thought of detouring into something else never crossed her mind.
