The National Maritime Museum (NMM) is a maritime museum in Greenwich, London.

The museum was created by the National Maritime Museum Act 1934.
King George VI formally opened the museum on 27 April 1937 when his daughter Princess Elizabeth accompanied him for the journey along the Thames from London.
The first director was Sir Geoffrey Callender
