Ben Spies-Butcher



Ben Spies-Butcher is a senior lecturer in sociology at Macquarie University. His work centres on the political economy of social policy. His most recent co-authored book, Market Society (with Joy Paton and Damien Cahill) was published with Cambridge University Press. Ben is a research associate at the retirement policy and research centre at the University of Auckland and was awarded the Australian Association of Gerontology’s Glenda Powell Travelling Fellowship.
