Eva Smith was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She moved to Brooklyn, NY shortly after graduating from Fayetteville State University several years ago, and taught in the public school system there. Deemed a master teacher, she was taken out of the classroom and assigned the job ?teacher-trainer? and given the responsibility of teaching first year teachers and para-professionals how to teach reading to struggling elementary students.
