“1. The Meaning of “Death”---The Bible says, (Rom.6: 23 KJV) “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Death means “separation”. When a person physically dies, his spirit will separate from his body. James 2:26 KJV says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” Spiritual death means spiritual separation from God. If in his lifetime, he will not be reconciled to God and he physically dies, he will be eternally separated from God in hell.
