Heather B. Moore is a USA Today bestselling author of more than ninety publications. Heather writes primarily historical and #herstory fiction about the humanity and heroism of the everyday person. Publishing in a breadth of genres, Heather dives into the hearts and souls of her characters, meshing her love of research with her love of storytelling.

Her ancient era historicals and thrillers are written under pen name H.B. Moore. She writes historical women's fiction, romance and inspirational non-fiction under Heather B. Moore, and . . . speculative fiction under Jane Redd. This can all be confusing, so her kids just call her Mom. “America is now wholly given over to a damned mob of scribbling women”
Nathaniel Hawthorne

“America is now wholly given over to a damned mob of scribbling women, and I should have no chance of success while the public taste is occupied with their trash--and should be ashamed of myself if I did succeed. What is the mystery of these innumberable editions of The Lamplighter (by Maria Susanna Cummins), and other books neither better nor worse? Worse they could not be, and better they need not be, when they sell by the hundred thousand.”
Nathaniel Hawthorne

“What trials are we meant to endure in this life? And how did the trials of regular life escalate to this horror? I wonder if there is so much a soul can endure before death seems the better option.”

Heather Thanks for the note, Lisa. I'm an author too, but mostly a fan girl of other authors :-) You wrote an amazing book, and I'm looking forward to grabbing the sequel.

Lisa See I'm so glad you liked Shanghai Girls. Thank you for the five stars! Woo-hoo! I'm happy we're now friends on Goodreads.

Heather It was my first time at WIFYR. A looong conference! Thanks Christy.

Christy Congratulations on your Best in State Award. That's great!! It was nice to see you in Kristyn's class today. You are a busy lady. You seem to get around everywhere. Thanks again for your help at LDS Storymakers. Christy Monson

Heather Since I live in Utah, my library carries most of them. I put in "purchase requests" a lot. I also trade with friends. I'll buy if it's a favorite author. I've done interlibrary loan as well (it's $2.00). I've also bought used copies at www.half.com

message 3: by Jenny

Jenny Heather,
How can you afford so many LDS books - or where do you get them? Living in California, I would love to read more of the LDS genre, but can't find them (is there any online Library)? I basically stick to the local library for my books (and books on tape). I just sign up for the books I would like, and sooner or later the library calls with the book available.

Heather That's pretty cool :)

Candace Salima Hi Heather,

Here's our comparison:

You and Heather have 23 books (or 10.04% of your library and 45.10% of their library) in common. Your tastes for those 23 ratings are 82% similar.

Wahoo!

Candace
