Ensayista, escritor y antropólogo argentino (1944). Residió en Ecuador y en México, países donde se dedicó al estudio y la difusión de las culturas indígenas y dirigió proyectos estatales relacionados con el tema. Fundó y dirige Ediciones Del Sol. Dirigió el Programa de Rescate de la Literatura Popular e Indígena y la obra Literatura Popular Bonaerense, que se editó en cinco volúmenes.
