Did not read in full. Too depressing and it was relentless. No relief for the reader. I skimmed and skipped to the end.

Interesting premise. Wished for more history of what was happening in Russia at this time. Sometimes implausible events. But thought provoking. Good for book club discussion.

Very compelling. Hard to put down. Tough subject (PTSD, domestic abuse, paranoia, etc) balanced well with brave characters and a sweet love story.
