Imagining Jesus by Natasha Rendell
“In his lifetime, what Jesus represented was love clothed in flesh. And is not love always crucified in the plane of mortality when the minds of humanity do not recognise the value of love, the strength of love and the immense possibilities of love?”

Imagining Jesus by Natasha Rendell
“Sometimes the shoreline was impassable, enclosed by high cliffs and huge boulders. But then, further along, Jesus would see the welcome sight of a pathway leading down to the sea once more. Then one day, he came upon the astounding vista of high white cliffs that must have gifted the land its name. This isle of Albion never ceased to amaze him. At night, Jesus would lay awake watching the stars before the gentle lull of the lapping waves sent him to sleep. But naturally, he was not so foolish as to camp where he could be washed out to sea by the tides and always made sure there was a safe way to scale the cliffs if the need arose. Once, he had been startled into wakefulness by an unfamiliar sound but soon realised it was the eerie calling of passing whales communicating with each other as they sang of their joy for life. And as their song resonated deep within his soul, Jesus felt the greatness and generosity of their spirit. Their relevance and connection to the mysteries of the univ ...more Natasha Rendell

Wisdom’s Fragrance by Natasha Rendell
“The human race is amazing
It never ceases to rise out of the ashes
and continue to live

No matter how many times the human
race falls on its face,
it raises itself up,
stands tall
And once again attempts
the exercise of wisdom in action
By realising its right to be alive
in the scheme of creation”

“WINTER'S GHOST:
Autumn moon
incautious in the dark river
Winter’s ghost walks
with a covered face
and silver bones wait in all animals
to be bone cloth upon her shoulder
wait for her happiness in that they are silver”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“Dreams are like the old stories where wolves are seekers always running, and women carry fire in their bare hands and light the dark paths before them.
Old stories hold that the birds will fly all the miles of the world to tell your secrets to the rising moon, and men will walk over oceans of ice to find one truth.”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“The forest rose like a dream
from the mind of Chaos’s lonely daughter
and the sun fell heavy and thick
to warm the blood of a world
not quite ready to live
but so tired of its own imagination”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“The fires of night
through distance dance
ghosts who still know how to sing”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“We are all of life
who stepped from the sea
trading weightless journeys of the currents
We are all of life
who build and tear down and build again
to find gold and silver
to find scars that weep and bleed
to step from the sea
to stay with the sea”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“The storms inside uncoil
into sky held calm by far seeing eyes
Memories dressed in the translucent
trickery of the mind,
so as to wear life upon themselves,
give up their tired dance and run
into free frequency”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides

“The Moon,
a white basket
for my prayers”
Tamara Rendell, Mystical Tides
