Simon taught English and History for ten years before leaving to earn a Masters in Christian Studies at Regent College, Canada. He then spent years writing and editing in both academic and popular circles, including his solo effort "Bright Lights, Dark Nights", his book with John Dickson "Vital Signs" and the book he edited "A Spectator's Guide to World Views".
