Fernando José Gallego Margalef (or Margaleff) (Barcelona, ​​1953), also known as Ferran Gallego, is a Spanish writer and historian, doctor in Contemporary History and professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He is a collaborator of the edition Catalan of the newspaper El Mundo. He was general secretary of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia-Viu (PSUC-Viu) from 2001 to 2003.

Graduated in philosophy and letters from the UAB, his specialty is the subject of the European and American extreme right, fascism and Nazism.
