Arkady Ostrovsky is a Russian-born, British journalist who has spent fifteen years reporting from Moscow, first for the Financial Times and then as a bureau chief for The Economist. Prior to this role, he was Moscow correspondent based in Moscow. He joined the paper in March 2007 after 10 years with the Financial Times where he had spells as a Moscow Correspondent, International Capital Markets reporter and features writer for the Arts and Books section of the paper and its weekend magazine. As the FT‘s Moscow correspondent he covered Russian politics and business, including the Yukos Affair, the resurgence of Russia’s Security Services, Gazprom, Media and Culture.
