Nikolai Ernestovich Radlov, Soviet Russian graphic artist, painter, theatrical designer, illustrator, caricaturist, teacher and art critic.

He was born in St Petersburg (1889) in the family of philosophy historian Ernest Radlov (1854–1928).

He studied the history of art at St Petersburg University (until 1911), drawing at Jacob Goldblat’s private school of art (from 1908) and painting under Jan Ciaglińskj and Dmitry Kardovsky at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1909–16).

He collaborated with Apollo (from 1910) and New Satyricon (from 1913). Taught at the Institute of the History of Arts (1919) and the VKhUTEMAS/VKhUTEIN/Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Petrograd/Leningrad (1921–37).
