“Kent stood up and went to one of the bedrooms while speaking. “Why didn’t God just fix everything?” Brey was sitting on the floor of what appeared to be his bedroom, playing with Lincoln Logs. “Yeah, that would seem like the simple answer, wouldn’t it? But He doesn’t seem to consider the planet like something He owns and can do anything He wants with. It’s like He made it and gave it to us. And because we got a bit screwed up, He’s trying to help us fix it. He doesn’t seem to want to get rid of anyone. Apparently He thinks everyone will come around eventually.” Josh sipped his lemonade. “God doesn’t really like destruction. He seriously loves everyone He created, and all He really wants is to be a family.” He smiled at Kent whimsically. “He wants us to run the show. He just wants to visit with us and act like a Dad.”
