Sarah Kanake is a Doctor of creative writing and university creative writing teacher. She has a PhD from QUT on the representation of Down syndrome in literature. Her fiction has been published in 'The Lifted Brow', 'The Southerly', 'Award Winning Australian Writing', 'Kill Your Darlings', and 'The Review of Australian Fiction'.
Sarah is one half of the country music duo 'The Shiralee'. She lives on the Sunshine Coast with her partner, daughter and three dogs.
