原标题：加拿大一食品公司因数十名员工确诊 暂停向中国出口猪肉
海外网8月20日消息，当地时间18日晚，加拿大肉类加工商枫叶食品公司表示，由于旗下一家工厂数十名工人新冠肺炎检测呈阳性，因此决定暂停向中国出口猪肉。
综合路透社及加通社报道，该公司发布声明表示，正在积极遵守中国政府针对加拿大加工商出台的新规定，即要求任何出现新冠病毒感染者的工厂都要暂停对中国的出口。因此，其公司主动暂停了对中国的猪肉出口。
枫叶食品首席执行官迈克尔·麦凯恩（Michael McCain）在一份声明中表示，“我们尊重中国对加拿大产品的新进口规定，并正在与加拿大和中国政府合作，以迅速恢复出口。”
枫叶食品公司总部位于安大略省，其位于曼尼托巴省布兰登的猪肉加工厂数周来一直在应对新冠肺炎疫情。目前，该工厂已有55人的病毒检测结果呈阳性。
据悉，这已不是首次有外国食品公司因出现新冠肺炎病例，而停止向中国出口猪
