“1937 - The Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, told the UN Peel Commission, “There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us. Our land was for hundreds of years a part of Syria.” 1946 - Philip Hitti, Princeton’s Arab professor of Middle East history, told the Anglo-American committee of inquiry, “It’s common knowledge there is no such thing as Palestine in history.” In his testimony before the same committee, Professor Juhan Hazam said, “Before 1917, when Balfour made his declaration, there had never been a Palestinian question, and there was no Palestine as a political or geographical unit.” 1977. Zahir Muhsein, executive member of the PLO, said in an interview with the Dutch newspaper Trouw, “The Palestinian people do not exist. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the State of Israel.”

“Christian reverence for Jerusalem is synonymous with Jesus. It is based on events that took place there, at the Mount of Olives to the Garden of Gethsemane to the Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount. By denying a Jewish history and a Jewish Temple the Palestinians are also denying Christianity its heritage. For, without a Jewish Temple, the events of Jesus could not have taken place. This, more than anything else, should drive Christianity to the defence of Israel over a false Palestinian narrative. Sadly, with notable exceptions, it does not seem to have done so. Leaders of Methodist, Anglican, Presbyterian, and some Baptist churches fall in line with the Palestinian argument against Israel. I outline the root cause of this in my chapter on Replacement Theology.”

“Bigotry is now correlated with education and class. The lower down the social and educational scale, the more people are sane and realistic and decent about the Middle East and the threat to the free world from radical Islam. But as soon as you get people who’ve been through higher education, you find that so often they’re the ones who are bigoted and irrational about such matters. They make truly ridiculous claims about Israel, such as its perpetration of apartheid or ethnic cleansing – claims which, to anyone with even a passing knowledge of the situation, are demonstrably ridiculous. So how can it be that the most educated are now the most irrational? The short answer is that among the progressive intelligentsia, evidence and truth have been supplanted by ideology – or the dogma of a particular idea.”
