Catia Chien was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, with honors in 2004. Today, she is happily working as a full time illustrator in NYC. Her clients include, Chronicle Books, Ogilvy & Mather, Random House, Candlewick, Panda Press, Penguin and Houghton Mifflin. Her children's book titles include A Boy and a Jaguar, an ALA notable book and winner of the Schneider Family Book award.
