Grace Mullins and 4 other people liked E.F. Buckles's status update
E.F. Buckles
E.F. Buckles is 47% done with Once a Queen: This is soooo an imagining of what happened to Susan (from Narnia) after her siblings died if she grew old and had children. The main character is her granddaughter. The names and certain details have been changed to make it not a fan fic (as one must for legal purposes) but the winks at Narnia are STRONG.

WACKY READING CHA...: October 2021 Featured author: Neil Gaiman 33 33 Oct 29, 2023 11:02AM
Jen Turano
“Miss Sumner, may I inquire as to why you're lounging on the floor?" Mrs. Watson asked.
Miss Sumner uttered something which sounded very much like "it should be obvious" before she lifted her head. "You really must compliment your staff, Mrs. Watson. This floor is remarkably clean.”
Jen Turano, A Change of Fortune

Anne Elisabeth Stengl
“Her eyes pleaded with him to understand, to try. Under that gaze, Eanrin had no option but to sit and stare at the scribbles in the dust, stare with all the intensity a cat can muster. His pupils dilated until the golden irises were like rings of eclipsed sunfire. Imraldera watched him, chewing her bottom lip and waiting.
At last the cat lashed his tail and raised his whiskered face to her. "I'm sorry, my girl. It looks to me like the Greater Stick Bug pursues the Lesser Stick Bug over the back of a giant alligator. Can't make a thing of it otherwise.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Starflower

Sarah E. Morin
“His princess was dusty.”
Sarah E. Morin, Waking Beauty

Anne Elisabeth Stengl
“I'll never tell you to stop loving. You see, I believe in hopeless love. Oh yes. I believe in it with all my heart, though you may discount the heart of an old nanny like me. For real love brings pain. Real love means sacrifices and hurts and all the thousand shocks of life. But it also means beauty, true beauty.”
Anne Elisabeth Stengl, Moonblood

Lisa Tawn Bergren
“Courage is not the absence of fear, but the decision that something is more important than fear.”
Lisa Tawn Bergren, Waterfall

I finished "Clumsy Feet" and put it on a blog where some readers can give me feedback. I only got two people to send me feedback on it, but one of them gave me some good ideas on how to make it better. This, of course, means that I am rewriting it. I've got about a month before the deadline, so I need to get going on both(Time has gone by so quickly!) because neither is finished! Hence why I'll probably be in a mad dash on Christmas break, lol.

Good to see you're doing well. Lol, You might be disappointed if you checked it every few minutes. I've not been posting much since I started my job, and I've not ready many books either :-P(Been adding books to my "to read" list, though, haha). Christmas break might be a good time to get some last minute 2013 reading done, but I've a feeling I'll be in a mad dash to get my entries for the "Five Glass Slippers" writing contest during my Christmas break.
