Father Mark Aziz was ordained as a priest in 1996, for St. Mark Church of Scotland. In 2005, Fr. Mark obtained his Master's Degree in Theology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He was later elevated to the rank of Hegomen (protopriest) on February 16, 2008. After 21 years of service in. Scotland, Fr Mark moved to the United States in August 2017, where he currently presides at St. Mark's Coptic Orthodox Church of Washington, D.C.

An accomplished author and theologian, Fr. Mark has contributed over 1000 sermon publications to Orthodox Sermons' website.
