A donut-loving Southerner who lives just south of Nashville, TN, James traces his love of adventure to his early discovery of the works of Edgar Rice Boroughs. During his career as an educator, James has taught literature, examined great battles that shaped the Western tradition, coached various sports, and directed dramas, comedies, and musicals. In recent decades, he has enjoyed the Star Wars X- Wing novels and the recent Marvel screen adventures. His hope is that The Four Quadrants Chronicle will expand into a series of four or five books.
And by the way, this Jim (James) Shapiro pronounces his last name - Shap er o - (accent on the first syllable).
