Mario Lima is the pen name of a German writer living in Portugal. The crime novel "Barco Negro" is the first one in a series about the Porto Murder Squad. The main characters are Chief Inspector Fonseca and his fellow Inspectors Ana Cristina and Rui Pinto. "Barco Negro" is the story of a mysterious double murder with roots in the past, and the famous fado sung by Amália Rodrigues has a special significance to the case. The second novel, "Tod in Porto" (Death in Porto), has been released in 2019, and the third one, "Die Mauern von Porto" (The Walls of Porto) in February 2021. (All German language edition.)
