I was born in Miami, Florida and earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and a master’s degree from Pepperdine University. I’ve been writing for more than thirty years, was a finalist in the first annual Poisoned Pen Mystery Writing Contest, a non-rhyming poetry winner in the Writer’s Digest annual writing competition for two consecutive years, co-author of a main-stage production at my local community theatre, the author of the Chip Hale mystery series, numerous short stories, a standalone novel, and my time travel historical fiction novel that was a finalist in the Amity Literary Prize will be published either later this year or early next year.

Before embarking on my writing career, I spent twenty years as a search and rescue pilot in the United States Navy and am proud to say there are nine souls here today because I was there then. I now live in the Pacific Northwest with my wife, Cora, and her long-hair cat, Grace. We enjoy going out to dinner and the theater and sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine or wee dram watching the sunset. I volunteer building stage sets for the community theatre, and spend my off time playing golf, swimming, biking, reading, and doing video research. Life is good. ...more
