Phil Olsen is a writer from Liverpool, UK. Specialising in short stories, he has a master's in Creative Writing from the University of Manchester's Centre for New Writing.

Winner of three flash fiction competitions (Northern Short Story Festival 2017; Writing on the Wall's WoWFest 2016; Book Week Scotland 2014), he has been shortlisted for the Bath Flash Fiction Award and the Storgy Flash Fiction Competition. He was a finalist in the NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge in both 2018 and 2019.

Phil's short fiction has been published by (or is forthcoming with) Ad Hoc Fiction, Comma Press, Cōnfingō, Strix, Storgy and The Liminal Residency.

Phil is the Fiction Editor at Sabotage Reviews and a Contributing Editor at Vestal Review.
