Dieter Axt nasceu em 23 de novembro de 1990, na cidade de Porto Alegre, Brasil. Bacharel em Direito pela UFRGS, é servidor público, roteirista do programa televisivo Direito & Literatura e escritor. É residente do Acervo Independente e, desde o ano de 2011, participa de projetos de fomento à cultura. Realizou exposições coletivas e individuais, relacionando Literatura e Arte. Atualmente, dedica-se, também à Editora Le Chien, iniciativa independente que visa a incentivar novos escritores.
