Mark McKenzie is the author of the young teens novel, Spidion World. Born in 1971, Mark has lived his whole life in Melbourne, Australia.

Mark has a long held belief that kids need to read more books and spend less time playing computer games. He says that books need to engage a child, intrigue a child and have them coming back for more. Children miss out on so many hidden worlds and can be the poorer for it.

Mark currently works full time but his passion is writing and hopes one day that that can become his, much more rewarding, career.

Mark still resides in Melbourne with his partner and two sons.
