On its way to five stars. Concept was excellent. But Harrow did not spend enough time working out the mechanics of the overlapping worlds or the exact role of the monsters. Certainly the best of the three books I’ve read by this author.

More like 3.5. I want to like Harrow’s books more than I do. The writing on a line level is very good but her relentless habit to blenderize classic story and myth into her story simply doesnt work. It’s not a bad idea but she doesn’t work hard enoug ...more
