“Deep in the secret world of winter's darkness, deep in the heart of the Earth, the scattered seed dreams of what it will accomplish, some warm day when its wild beauty has grown strong and wise.”
Solstice

Solstice

“Our personal mythologies intermingle with the myths of the land. We become part of a place and its history. And even when we do not originate from a place, dwelling with intention helps us be of a place. We become local. In other words, to dwell with intention is an act of homecoming.”
Solstice, The Earth Spirit Hearth and Home

“Leaves crumble under my feet as I walk, the scent of fallen apples and damp soil in air, the shadowlands felt in the mist hanging over the fields, ancient whispers awaken the night.”
Solstice

“Ash hangs in the still autumn air. A lone raven calls from above. I come seeking the voices of my friends Oak, Madrone, Buckeye, and Bay. But their spirits have retreated beyond my reach. Only the raven and I are present here.”

“Out from behind the darkness viewed, the light again renewed. May strife and worry cease, with warming rays of joy and peace.”
